Flood Warning issued by NWS Wichita KS. Effective from May 28 at 6:48 PM CDT until May 29 at 1:45 AM CDT.
Affected Areas
McPherson County and Saline County in central Kansas, including Salina, McPherson, Lindsborg, Moundridge, Galva, Canton, Marquette, Assaria, Gypsum, Brookville, Smolan, New Cambria, Falun, Glendale, Bridgeport, Salina Airport, Roxbury, Kipp and McPherson Airport.
What You Should Do
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Turn around, don't drown. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away.
Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
