Flood Warning issued by NWS Corpus Christi TX. Effective from June 2 at 6:33AM CDT until June 4 at 11:00PM CDT. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely. Urgency: Expected.

What You Should Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 5:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 13.9 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (14.0 feet) this morning to a crest of 14.8 feet just after midnight tonight. At 15.0 feet, much of the flood plain below Cotulla to below Tilden is cut off, sloughs and peripheral channels fill, hunting cabins, oil field pump jacks and tank batteries flood, and livestock are cut off and can drown.
