A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX. The alert is effective from May 28 at 8:36AM CDT and remains in effect until May 29 at 1:22AM CDT.

Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. At 7:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 25.0 feet. Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. Flood stage is 24.0 feet. At 24.0 feet, minor lowland flooding begins as water spills into the floodplain on the right upstream bank and covers the meander point at the meander curve.
Timeline
The warning is in effect from this morning to just after midnight tonight. The river is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 4.8 feet Tuesday morning.
