A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Topeka KS. It is effective from 5:27 AM CDT on April 11, 2026, until 8:30 AM CDT on the same day.

The warning affects portions of north central and northeast Kansas, including the following counties: Marshall, Republic, and Washington. Some locations that may experience flooding include Washington, Blue Rapids, Waterville, Greenleaf, Barnes, Morrowville, Haddam, Munden, Narka, and Mahaska.

Flooding is caused by excessive rainfall from thunderstorms. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have already fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch possible. This will lead to flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
