Flood Warning issued by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO. Effective from May 17 at 1:23AM CDT until May 17 at 12:00PM CDT.

Affected Areas

Northern Linn County and Sullivan County in north central Missouri, including Milan, Green City, Linneus, Greencastle, Browning, Purdin, Newtown, Humphreys, Pollock, Harris, Osgood, Reger, Winigan, Green Castle and New Boston.

What You Should Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Expected Conditions

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. At 120 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated between 2 and 7 inches of rain have fallen in much of Sullivan and northern Linn counties. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
