A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO. The alert is effective from June 21 at 9:42AM CDT and remains in effect until June 23 at 3:00AM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Leavenworth County, KS, and Atchison County, KS. Specific rivers include the Delaware River near Muscotah affecting Atchison County; Stranger Creek near Tonganoxie affecting Leavenworth County; and Stranger Creek at Easton affecting Atchison and Leavenworth Counties.

Minor flooding is forecast. For Stranger Creek near Tonganoxie, the river is expected to rise above flood stage (23.0 feet) late this afternoon to a crest of 24.3 feet this evening, then fall below flood stage late tonight. At 23.0 feet, low-lying farmland along the creek floods. At 25.0 feet, County Highway 6 floods about 3 miles east of Tonganoxie.
