Alert Details
A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Wichita KS. This alert is for minor flooding and is effective from April 17, 2026, at 8:03 AM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning affects Labette County and Neosho County in Kansas. Specific areas include the Neosho River near Parsons, affecting Neosho and Labette Counties; the Neosho River near Erie, affecting Neosho County; and the Neosho River at Oswego, affecting Cherokee and Labette Counties.

The river stage is currently at 11.8 feet and is expected to rise above the flood stage of 21.0 feet early Saturday afternoon, cresting at 22.6 feet early Sunday morning, then falling below flood stage Sunday afternoon. Flood waters may spread over fields up to 1.25 miles and inundate several county roads, with potential water entry at basement levels for some residences near Highway 400.
