Flood Warning issued by NWS Louisville KY. Effective from May 22, 2026 at 11:14 PM EDT until May 23, 2026 at 1:15 AM EDT. Replaces Flash Flood Warning.
Affected Areas
A portion of central Kentucky, including Henry and Shelby counties. Specific locations include Pleasureville, Defoe, Bethlehem, Slabtown, Elmburg, Franklinton, Lockport, North Pleasureville, Fallis and Orville.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. At 11:14 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible.
