Flood Warning issued by NWS Lake Charles LA. Effective from September 2, 2026 at 12:24 PM CDT until September 2, 2026 at 9:30 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
Hardin County, Central Jasper County, Northwestern Jefferson County and Tyler County in southeastern Texas. Specific locations include Lumberton, Silsbee, Woodville, Kountze, Sour Lake, Colmesneil, Chester, Warren, Wildwood, Fred, Thicket, Saratoga, Town Bluff, Rockland, Bevil Oaks, Village Mills, Honey Island, Caney Head and Spurger.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Expected Conditions
Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 4 and 20 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
