Guadalupe River Near Bloomington affecting Calhoun County, TX; Refugio County, TX; and Victoria County, TX.

What You Should Do

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement.

Expected Conditions

Moderate flooding is forecast. At 26.0 feet, irrigation and oil well pumps, tank batteries, and equipment in the lower flood plain below Victoria flood. Livestock are cut off and could drown. Homes downstream above Highway 35 on the left bank are cut off.

Timeline

From late Wednesday night until further notice. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Thursday morning and continue rising to a crest of 25.1 feet Friday evening. Flood stage is 20.0 feet. At 8:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 11.4 feet. Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
