Flood Warning issued by NWS Norman OK. Effective from 2026-06-21T14:40:00-05:00, with onset 2026-06-22T08:45:00-05:00 and ending 2026-06-23T07:43:00-05:00. Replaces River Flood Watch.

Grant County, OK and Kay County, OK, specifically the Chikaskia River near Blackwell.

Expected Conditions
Moderate flooding is forecast. At 30.0 feet, several residences may be surrounded with street depths approaching 2 feet in northeast Blackwell. Highway 177 north of Blackwell may be flooded and Hubbard Road may be impassable southeast of Blackwell. Rural lands covered by floodwaters up to 2 feet in extreme northeastern Grant and Kay counties.

From Monday morning to Tuesday morning. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (29.0 feet) tomorrow morning to a crest of 30.5 feet tomorrow evening, then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
