Flood Warning issued by NWS Mobile AL on June 18 at 9:45AM CDT. The alert is effective from issuance and the flood warning is now in effect from Friday evening until further notice.

George County, MS; Greene County, MS; Jackson County, MS. Specifically the Pascagoula River at Merrill.

What You Should Do

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 23.5 feet, water is under homes in Plum Bluff Estates and streets of Merrill flood. Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

Timeline

Onset from Friday evening (2026-06-19T21:00:00-05:00) until further notice. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue rising to a crest of 23.0 feet Saturday evening. At 9:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 19.3 feet.
