Flood Warning issued by NWS Louisville KY. Effective from 1:40 PM EDT to 4:45 PM EDT on June 9, 2026.
Affected Areas
Floyd County, IN; Harrison County, IN; Jefferson County, KY. Specific locations include Louisville, Jeffersonville, New Albany, Jeffersontown, St. Matthews, Shively, Lyndon, Middletown, Douglass Hills and Prospect. Lanesville remains flooded with many roads closed.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you can do so safely.
Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected to continue. Between 5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
