Flood Warning issued by NWS Jackson KY. Effective from August 14, 2026 at 12:35 AM EDT until August 14, 2026 at 3:30 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
Floyd County, KY and Knott County, KY in southeast Kentucky. Specific locations include Mousie, Soft Shell, Wayland, Garret, Estill, Bolyn, Yellow Mountain, Handshoe, Vest, Larkslane, Elmrock, Betty, Porter Junction, Glo, Raven, Demo, Buck and Minnie.

Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.
