Minor flooding is forecast. At the Amite River at Denham Springs, the river is expected to rise above flood stage (29.0 feet) early Thursday morning to a crest of 29.5 feet early Thursday afternoon. At 8:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.1 feet. Bankfull stage is 24.0 feet. This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.5 feet on 02/02/2005.
