Flood Warning issued by NWS Chicago IL. Effective from August 1 at 8:13AM CDT, with onset at 12:18PM CDT. Expires August 2 at 2:15AM CDT and ends August 2 at 4:00AM CDT.

Affected Areas

DuPage County and Will County, Illinois. Specifically, East Branch Du Page River from Maple Avenue in Lisle downstream to confluence with West Branch DuPage River, including the Bolingbrook gauge. Also Du Page River at Shorewood.

What You Should Do

Persons along rivers and streams in the warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 7:40 AM CDT the stage was 18.0 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (20.0 feet) this afternoon to a crest of 20.3 feet, then fall below flood stage late this evening. At 20.0 feet, DuPage River Greenway Trail is threatened east of the river near Royce Road in Bolingbrook. Trails threatened at Green Valley Forest Preserve near Woodridge.
