Flood Warning issued by NWS Peachtree City GA. Effective from June 19 at 10:47PM EDT until June 20 at 8:00PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Dooly County, Georgia, specifically Turkey Creek at Byromville.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is occurring. At 9:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 10.4 feet. The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.6 feet just after midnight tonight. Flood stage is 10.0 feet. At 11.0 feet, minor flooding expands into woodland areas upstream and downstream from the stream gage on Georgia Highway 90, and larger portions of creek access roads will flood.
