Alert Details
A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Indianapolis IN. This alert is for the event code FLW and is effective from April 28, 2026, at 11:37 AM EDT until May 3, 2026, at 12:49 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
The warning affects Daviess, IN; Greene, IN; and Knox, IN. Specific locations include the White River at Petersburg, Elliston, Edwardsport, Hazleton, and Newberry.

Minor flooding is forecast due to rainfall amounts of two to five inches over the last day, with additional rainfall of half an inch to 1.5 inches expected. At Newberry, the river stage is currently 9.8 feet and is expected to rise above the flood stage of 13.0 feet, cresting at 14.5 feet. Impacts include flooding of most lowlands and a few inches of water on County Road 600 W just north of the river in Mary Long Cutoff Area.
