Flood Warning issued by NWS Chicago IL. Effective from 2:30 AM CDT June 14, 2026 until 10:00 AM CDT June 14, 2026.
Affected Areas
Portions of northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana, including southeastern Cook and eastern Will counties in Illinois and central Lake County in northwest Indiana. Specific locations include Merrillville, Chicago Heights, Schererville, Crown Point, Munster, Park Forest, Matteson, Steger, Dyer, St. John, Richton Park, Sauk Village, Flossmoor, Lynwood, Glenwood, Crete, University Park, Olympia Fields, Ford Heights and South Chicago Heights.

Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. At 2:30 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain has ended, however 1 to nearly 3 inches of rain fell in the warning area. This heavy rainfall is likely to result in flooding of small streams and creeks, as well as low lying and poor drainage areas. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Underpasses may be flooded.
