Alert Details
A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Lincoln IL. The alert is effective from May 18 at 5:50 PM CDT until May 19 at 6:00 AM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Clay, Effingham and Jasper counties in southeast Illinois. Locations that will experience flooding include Flora, Newton, Louisville, Edgewood, Xenia, Bible Grove, Wheeler, Sailor Springs, Bogota, Iola, Hord, Ingraham, Wendelin and Flora Municipal Airport.

Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch possible. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
