A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Wichita KS. The alert is effective from June 21 at 8:35 AM CDT and remains in effect until June 23 at 11:11 AM CDT.

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 8:31 AM CDT the stage was 7.3 feet and rising. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (10.0 feet) this afternoon to a crest of 16.8 feet just after midnight tonight, then fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening. Widespread flooding of low-lying areas and agricultural areas can be expected especially downstream.
