A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Wichita KS. The alert is effective from June 11 at 10:41 AM CDT until June 11 at 5:15 PM CDT.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 7:00 AM CDT the stage was 16.7 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 17.2 feet this afternoon before falling below flood stage. Flood stage is 17.0 feet. At 17.0 feet, the left bank begins to overflow and floods agricultural fields. The dirt county road, 13000 Road, along the north side of the river bank starts to flood at 1.5 miles downstream of gage site.
