Flood Warning: Champaign, Clark and Greene, OH
The National Weather Service office in Wilmington issued a flood warning for Champaign, Clark and Greene in Ohio, which was in force until 6:30 p.m. local time on May 27. It was the 9th areal flood warning the NWS office in Wilmington issued in 2026. Ohio had 40 flood warnings in May 2026, against 25 in an average May of 2008-2025 (Ohio's flood warnings by year).

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Champaign, Clark and Greene. * WHEN...Until 630 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 206 PM EDT, emergency management reported flooding in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. - Law enforcement and emergency management report that flooding issues are ongoing across much of the county. Additional showers and thunderstorms this afternoon will exacerbate the ongoing flood issues. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Springfield, Urbana, Yellow Springs, Northridge, South Charleston, Harmony, Lisbon, Brighton, North Hampton, South Vienna, Tremont City, Catawba, Clifton, Buck Creek State Park, New Moorefield, Pitchin, Lawrenceville, Powhattan, Springfield Municipal Airport and Catawba Station.
