Flood Warning issued by NWS Louisville KY. Effective from June 18 at 5:29 PM EDT until June 18 at 8:30 PM EDT.

Affected Areas

Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Larue, Lincoln, Madison, Marion, Mercer, Nelson and Washington counties in central Kentucky. Specific locations include Richmond, Danville, Lebanon, Stanford, Lancaster, Springfield, Mccreary, Berea, Junction City and Crab Orchard.

What You Should Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Expected Conditions

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. At 5:27 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain winding down from west to east across the warned area. Flooding is ongoing.
