Flood Warning issued by NWS Houston/Galveston TX. Effective from June 17, 2026 at 7:57 AM CDT until June 17, 2026 at 10:45 AM CDT. Replaces previous Flash Flood Warning.
Affected Areas
Brazoria County in southeast Texas, including Lake Jackson, Angleton, Freeport, Clute, Richwood, Jones Creek, Danbury, and southeastern Bailey's Prairie.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Expected Conditions
Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Between 5 and 8 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch possible. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
