A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Shreveport LA. The alert is effective from May 23 at 11:22AM CDT and remains in effect until May 24 at 8:00PM CDT.

Expected Conditions

Minor flooding is forecast. At 10:15 AM CDT the stage was 8.4 feet. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (12.0 feet) this afternoon to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon, then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. At 12.0 feet, lowland flooding of the heavily wooded floodplain will continue for the next several days.
