Flood Warning issued by NWS Lake Charles LA. Effective from June 19 at 10:06 AM CDT until June 20 at 6:00 PM CDT.

Affected Areas

A portion of central Louisiana, including Avoyelles and St. Landry parishes. Mainly rural areas of South Central Avoyelles and North Central St. Landry Parishes.

What You Should Do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams.

Expected Conditions

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Between 10 and 29 inches of rain have fallen. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
