Alert Details
Flood Warning issued by NWS Fort Worth TX. Effective from June 20 at 9:48 AM CDT until June 20 at 1:30 PM CDT. Replaces previous Flash Flood Warning. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
Southwestern Anderson County, Southern Freestone County, Leon County, and East Central Limestone County in central Texas. Specific locations include Groesbeck, Teague, Buffalo, Centerville, Lake Limestone, Fort Boggy State Park, Fort Parker State Park, Corinth, Jewett, Redland, Leona, Donie, Robbins, Farrar, Dew, Freestone, Flo and Pleasant Springs.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Avoid flooded areas.
Expected Conditions
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Between 2 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Moderate rain continues per Doppler radar.
