Alert Details
A Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Wichita KS. The alert is effective from June 9, 2026 at 8:51 PM CDT, with onset at June 10, 2026 at 8:00 AM CDT, and remains in effect until June 11, 2026 at 7:43 AM CDT.

The warning covers Allen County and Neosho County in Kansas, specifically the Neosho River at Iola and near Chanute.

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas.
Expected Conditions
Minor flooding is forecast. At 7:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 20.8 feet and rising. The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 23.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon before falling below flood stage tomorrow evening. Flood stage is 23.0 feet. At 23.0 feet, the right bank overflows and agricultural flooding can be expected.
