Major flooding is forecast for the Turkey River at Garber. The river is expected to rise above flood stage (17.0 feet) late this afternoon to a crest of 26.0 feet tomorrow morning, then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon. At 26.0 feet, the earthen levee at Elkport is threatened, just upstream of Garber. At 7:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.4 feet. Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. This crest compares to a previous crest of 25.6 feet on 09/23/2016.
