Alert Details

A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Flagstaff AZ. The alert is effective from June 14 at 3:06 PM MST until June 14 at 6:00 PM MST.

Affected Areas

Yavapai County in west central Arizona. Locations include Cordes Lakes, Agua Fria National Monument, and Arcosanti. This covers Interstate 17 between mile markers 264 and 273, along with creeks and washes including Agua Fria River, Osborne Spring Wash, Little Ash Creek, Yarber Wash, Dry Creek, Big Bug Creek, Ash Creek, Indian Creek, Sycamore Creek, and Brushy Wash.

What You Should Do

Flooding of washes and creeks will occur. Some dirt roads will become muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become flooded. Avoid flooded areas.

Expected Conditions

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 2.25 inches of rain have fallen, with additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch possible. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses is ongoing or expected.
