Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Indianapolis IN. Effective from August 14, 2026 at 2:35 AM EDT until August 14, 2026 at 8:30 AM EDT.
Affected Areas
Northern Fountain County, Central Tippecanoe County, Northwestern Vermillion County, and Central Warren County in west central Indiana. Specific locations include Lafayette, West Lafayette, Covington, Williamsport, Attica, Shadeland, Dayton, West Lebanon, Newtown, State Line City, Purdue University, Foster and Gessie. Highways impacted include Interstate 65 between mile markers 165 and 175 and Interstate 74 between mile markers 1 and 10.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen with additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
