Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Lincoln IL. Effective from August 19, 2026 at 6:52 PM CDT until August 19, 2026 at 10:00 PM CDT. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely. Urgency: Immediate.
Affected Areas
Northeastern Tazewell County in central Illinois and south central Woodford County in central Illinois. Specific locations include East Peoria, Morton, Washington, Goodfield and Deer Creek. Affected highways include Interstate 74 between mile markers 101 and 111 and Interstate 155 between mile markers 29 and 31.

At 6:52 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
