Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS San Angelo TX. Effective from June 6 at 12:08 AM CDT until June 6 at 2:00 AM CDT. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
Taylor County in west central Texas, including Abilene, Merkel, Tye, Tuscola, Buffalo Gap, Trent, Lawn, View, Caps, Coronados Camp, Dyess Afb, Bradshaw, Potosi, Happy Valley, Hamby, Impact, Camp Tonkawa, Lake Abilene, Ovalo and Kirby Lake. Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 261 and 292.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
Expected Conditions
At 12:02 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated numerous thunderstorms with very heavy rain. Radar estimated rainfall amounts of 2.5 to 4.5 inches have occurred across much of Taylor County, with the highest totals from Potosi southwest to Buffalo Gap into central Taylor County. Additional rainfall amounts up to an inch are expected. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
