A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans. The alert is effective from 1:54 PM CDT on May 8, 2026, until 4:30 PM CDT on May 8, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Northwestern St. Tammany Parish, Central Tangipahoa Parish, and Southern Washington Parish in southeastern Louisiana. Specific locations include Hammond, Bogalusa, Franklinton, Amite, Ponchatoula, Amite City, Independence, Folsom, Sun, Enon, Robert, Natalbany, Bush, and Tickfaw. The warning also affects Interstate 55 between mile markers 24 and 48 and Interstate 12 between mile markers 36 and 53.
