Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Tucson AZ. Effective from September 2, 2026 at 2:57 PM MST until September 2, 2026 at 4:45 PM MST. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.
Affected Areas
Southwestern Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona, including Nogales. Highways impacted: Interstate 19 between mile markers 1 and 4; Route 82 between mile markers 1 and 2. Flash Flood Prone Location: Nogales Wash at Doe St Bridge.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
