Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Omaha/Valley NE. Effective from June 4 at 4:25 PM CDT until June 4 at 9:30 PM CDT. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely. Urgency: Immediate.
Affected Areas
Fremont County in southwestern Iowa; southern Montgomery County in southwestern Iowa; Page County in southwestern Iowa. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Red Oak, Clarinda, Shenandoah, Villisca, Hamburg, Sidney, Essex, Stanton, Farragut, Riverton, College Springs, Coin, Shambaugh, Braddyville, Yorktown, Imogene, Northboro, Coburg, Blanchard and Hepburn.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
Expected Conditions
At 4:25 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
