A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Pueblo CO. The alert is effective from August 20 at 5:24 PM MDT until August 20 at 8:30 PM MDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers the Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar in southwestern Pueblo County in southeastern Colorado. Locations that will experience flash flooding include stream crossings and county roads within and immediately downstream of the burn scar, affecting the Scroggs Arroyo, Muddy Creek, and Spring Branch Creek Drainages.

At 5:24 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Southern Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 0.75 inches in 1 hour. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow consisting of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
