Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Houston/Galveston TX. Effective from 4:55 AM CDT June 17, 2026 until 8:00 AM CDT June 17, 2026. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.

South Central Brazoria County in southeastern Texas. Specific locations include Lake Jackson, Angleton, Freeport, Clute, Richwood, Jones Creek, Danbury and southeastern Bailey's Prairie.

Expected Conditions
At 4:55 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
