Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Jackson KY. Effective from June 18 at 10:11 AM EDT until June 18 at 2:00 PM EDT.
Affected Areas
Breathitt County, Estill County, Jackson County, Lee County, Owsley County, Powell County and Wolfe County in southeastern Kentucky. Specific areas include Southern Estill County, Southeastern Powell County, Northwestern Jackson County, Northern Owsley County and Southwestern Wolfe County. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Jackson, Beattyville, Booneville, Fincastle, Monica, Tallega, Primrose, St. Helens, Canyon Falls, Airedale, Lone, Athol, Vada, Grass, Williba, Maloney, Fillmore, Enoch, Stay and Lower Buffalo.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen since 7 AM. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible between 10:15 AM and 12:15 PM. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
