Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Little Rock AR. The alert is effective from May 28, 2026 at 12:08 PM CDT until May 28, 2026 at 3:15 PM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers east central Searcy County and southwestern Stone County in north central Arkansas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Thola, Elberta, Alco, Flag, Oxley, Landis, Timbo, and Fox.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Expected Conditions
At 12:08 PM CDT, heavy rainfall has led to flash flooding 7 miles east of Leslie. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring. A water rescue is in progress near Old Hwy 66.
