Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Charleston WV. Effective from 2026-06-10T08:56:00-04:00 until 2026-06-10T12:00:00-04:00. Severity: Severe. Certainty: Likely. Urgency: Immediate.
Affected Areas
West Central Putnam County in western West Virginia, including Hurricane, Poca and Teays Valley. Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 33 and 44.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Between 1.5 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of up to 0.50 inches are possible. Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
