Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Shreveport LA. Effective from 10:13 AM CDT May 23, 2026 until 1:15 PM CDT May 23, 2026. Severity: Severe. Urgency: Immediate. Certainty: Likely.

Natchitoches Parish in northwestern Louisiana; Sabine Parish in northwestern Louisiana; Northeastern Sabine County in eastern Texas; Southeastern Shelby County in eastern Texas.

Expected Conditions
At 10:13 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
