A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans. The alert is effective from 8:13 AM CDT on May 9, 2026, until 11:15 AM CDT on May 9, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Northwestern Ascension Parish, Southwestern East Baton Rouge Parish, East Central Iberville Parish, West Central Livingston Parish, and Southeastern West Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Baton Rouge, Baker, Denham Springs, Plaquemine, Port Allen, Oak Hills Place, St. Gabriel, Walker, Addis, Brusly, French Settlement, Port Vincent, Westminster, Inniswold, Village St. George, Shenandoah, Merrydale, Gardere, Old Jefferson and Central. This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 149 and 172, Interstate 12 between mile markers 1 and 16, and Interstate 110 between mile markers 1 and 8.
