Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX. Effective from May 19 at 9:13 PM CDT until May 20 at 2:00 AM CDT.
Affected Areas
Northwestern Williamson County in south central Texas, including Georgetown, Bartlett, Jarrell, Florence, Andice, Theon and Schwertner.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
