Alert Details
The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Macoupin County in southwestern Illinois. This warning is effective from 6:47 PM CDT until 11:45 PM CDT on April 27, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning affects Macoupin County, including the following locations: Carlinville, Staunton, Virden, Gillespie, Brighton, Girard, Mount Olive, Bunker Hill, Benld, Palmyra, Shipman, Wilsonville, Sawyerville, Mount Clare, East Gillespie, Eagarville, Piasa, Medora, Nilwood, and White City. It also includes Beaver Dam State Park and Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 41 and 44.
