At 9:38 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain 8 miles northeast of De Kalb or 10 miles northwest of New Boston, moving east at 10 mph. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Expected rainfall rate is 2 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
