Flash Flood Warning issued by NWS Phoenix AZ. Effective from September 1 at 7:07 PM MST until September 1 at 10:00 PM MST.
Affected Areas
Western Yuma County in southwestern Arizona, Southwestern La Paz County in west central Arizona, and Southeastern Imperial County in southeastern California. Includes CA Interstate 8 between mile markers 83 and 92, and streams including Marcus Wash, Colorado River, Picacho Wash, Unnamed Wash, Little Picacho Wash, Mission Wash, Ferguson Wash, Senator Wash, Carrizo Wash and Araz Wash.
What You Should Do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement.
Expected Conditions
Thunderstorms producing heavy rain with 1 to 1.75 inches fallen and up to 0.5 inches additional possible. Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses ongoing or expected shortly.
