Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in San Angelo TX. The alert is effective from May 20 at 11:12 PM CDT until May 21 at 2:15 AM CDT.
Affected Areas
The warning covers Kimble County in west central Texas and southwestern Mason County in west central Texas. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Junction, Segovia, Yates Crossing, London, South Llano River State Park, and Telegraph. This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 449 and 477, as well as multiple low water crossings such as Park Road 73 crossing South Llano River, US HWY 377 crossing South Llano River, RM 385 crossing Perdenales River, and others.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
Expected Conditions
At 11:12 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen very quickly. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard includes life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
