Alert Details
A Flash Flood Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in New Orleans LA. The alert is effective from 11:36 AM CDT on May 28, 2026, until 2:30 PM CDT on May 28, 2026.
Affected Areas
The warning covers northeastern Hancock County in southern Mississippi and east central Pearl River County in southern Mississippi. Locations that will experience flash flooding include Poplarville and Interstate 59 in Mississippi between mile markers 21 and 27.

Expected Conditions
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 5.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Hazard includes life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
